Here in the womb of the corporate mothership, we try to keep on top of pop culture: movies, TV, music. But when we don our personal headphones, we don't listen to the furious beats of Justin or Gwen. The soundtrack for our lives is the Greek keyboard superstar, Yanni. A modern day Adonis, Yanni strokes that keyboard, laying down a mad collection of soothing beats with symphonic bravado not experienced since... well, maybe, since Hector and Achilles met on the fields of Troy. Whether you're working, stuck in an elevator, or kicking back with a fizzy cocktail, Yanni is the go-to god in the pantheon of new age, adult contemporary, and easy listening music. Even with the newly shorn mane and no mustache, Yanni rules over the likes of Mannheim Steamroller, John Tesh and George Winston. We just wish that Yanni and Enya would get together to create a new-age superbaby. In the meantime, we'll raise a glass of white zin to Yanni on his birthday.

Yanni has been creating some new music and has teamed up with Ric Wake. There is a short video or two of the new music to come. Please check it out at this site. It sounds very exciting!!
