| Ogden Nash | By Mitzi Buchanan Fri, May 19, 2006, 12:01 am PDT |
Mr. Ogden Nash was a man versed in verses. He made up new words when he ran out of cherces. He was witty, comical, cutting and quirky, And somehow he made all his poems seem to worky.
He started at Doubleday and stayed there a while; Even wrote lyrics to a musical with Weill; Known for epigrams, puns, and words fit to rhyme; He also played with meter so his lines ran on too long some of the time.
But don't just take our word for it -- see for yourself. He wrote lots of books you may want for your shelf. You'll find most of it fun, but not all of it camp, In 2002 he appeared on a stamp.
