Bury that booty! Arrrr Ahoy, mateys! Ye may know me, Captain Kidd, as one o' the most cruel and fearsome pirates to e'er sail the high seas. Tales o' how I turned from a law-abidin' hunter of pirates into a murderous outlaw frighten children in their beds. Legends o' me buried treasure keep men awake at night with dreams o' gold. They say me riches be hidden in secret stashes all along the New England coast. One o' me stashes, the Oak Island Money Pit in Nova Scotia, has cost dozens o' treasure hunters their fortunes -- or even their lives. For 200 years they've been diggin' holes, some hundreds o' feet deep, hopin' to find me booty. Too bad for them some clever fella rigged flood-traps to fill the pit with ocean water when the tides come in. There must be somethin' valuable down there, to be worth all the trouble, but so far they've found nary a doubloon -- just a scrap o' parchment, some links o' chain... and maybe a human hand. So did I really take me pirate loot to a remote Canadian island and bury it fathoms deep in a booby-trapped pit? Well, as they say, dead men tell no tales.
