- Public Schools Accountability Act of 1999 (PSAA)
Authorizes the creation of an educational accountability system for California public schools. Its primary goal is to help schools improve and to measure the academic achievement of all students.

- Alternative Schools Accountability Model (ASAM)
Provides accountability for alternative schools serving very high-risk, highly mobile students. These schools include community day, continuation, opportunity, county community, county court, California Youth Authority, and other alternative schools that meet stringent criteria set by the State Board of Education.
